Welcome to Adventures in Veterinary Medicine
What does it take to be a veterinarian? Come to Adventures in Veterinary Medicine, and discover if this exciting career is right for you!
Adventures in Veterinary Medicine is a unique career exploration program for adults, college students, high school students, and middle school students. If you are excited by science, enjoy working with animals, and would like to find out more about what it takes to be a veterinarian, then this program is right for you. At AVM, you will get a clear picture of what it will take for you to obtain a DVM degree, and what you can do with that degree.
During the program, you will have lectures from the faculty, participate in laboratories, and engage in hands-on activities with animals. AVM will give you a realistic, comprehensive look at what attending veterinary school would be like, and provide you with the knowledge of the many roles that veterinarians can have.
By spending time on the campus of one of the finest veterinary schools in the country, students get first-hand experience of what it is like to attend vet school and what it takes to become a veterinarian. No matter how old you are, or what your interest, we have a session designed to meet your educational and developmental level. AVM will challenge and stimulate you in innovative, fun, and exciting ways.
